Program Type

Minor

Overview

The Electrochemistry minor provides a coherent pathway for Berkeley undergraduates to build fluency in electrochemical thermodynamics, kinetics, transport, and device-level engineering, with applications in batteries, electrolyzers, electrosynthesis, corrosion, and electrochemical separations. The curriculum is delivered as an integrated set of summer lecture, laboratory, and project-based courses coordinated through the College of Chemistry’s Center for Electrochemical Science, Engineering, and Technology (CESET).

To declare the minor, students should (1) review the minor requirements and recommended sequencing, and (2) submit the program’s Minor Declaration Form following the instructions on the program website or provided by the minor adviser.
